About Us

Our Story

Esanju Integrative Wellness was born out of a deeply personal journey—one that shaped me as both a parent and an entrepreneur. My daughter was born with cerebral palsy in 2002. Over the years, I have experienced the immense challenge of balancing caregiving for a special needs child, now a young adult, with the demands of work and life.

I faced the struggle of finding reliable, consistent help when resources were limited. I know firsthand the exhaustion and worry of trying to do it all alone. That’s why I created a service I so often needed myself: affordable, trustworthy respite care.

At the same time, I realized that caregivers themselves need emotional support. That’s why Esanju Integrative Wellness also provides accessible, high-quality emotional health services through virtual platforms—so you can heal while your loved one is cared for.

Our services

We offer two service categories: Emotional Wellness (Virtual) and Respite Care (In-Person & In-Home).

Emotional Wellness Services (Virtual – for adults)

At esanju Integrative Wellness we provides accessible, high-quality emotional health support services through virtual platforms. We offer individual therapy, group therapy, workshops, and self-help resources tailored to adults.

Our objective is to improve the emotional well-being of adults by providing accessible, compassionate, and professional online support.

Respite Care Services (For special needs children & young adults

At Esanju Integrative Respite Care Services, we provide compassionate and reliable respite care services designed to meet the unique needs of special needs children and young adults. Our experienced caregivers are here to offer you peace of mind, whether it's for a few hours, an entire day, or even overnight

Whether for a few hours, a full day, or overnight—you deserve a break.

Day Care

In-Home Care

Event and Meeting Support

Need to attend a meeting, appointment, or social event? We’ll be there—even if you don’t have a regular caregiver.

Our mission

To improve the emotional well-being of adults and families by providing accessible, compassionate, and professional online support—while offering reliable respite care that gives family caregivers true peace of mind.

You can trust us because I’ve been there. And the journey continues.

How it works

Getting started with Esanju Integrative Wellness is simple. Whether you need emotional support or respite care, we follow the same client-centred process.

Step 1: Reach Out
Contact us via phone, WhatsApp, email, or the quote form on this website. Tell us what you need – even if you are unsure.

Step 2: Free Initial Conversation
We will call you (15–20 minutes) to understand your situation, answer questions, and explain how we can help.

Step 3: Matching & Scheduling

For therapy/coaching: We match you with a therapist based on your needs and availability.

For respite care: We match you with a caregiver based on your loved one's needs, your location, and preferred hours.

Step 4: First Session or Care Visit

Virtual therapy: A secure video link is sent to you.

Respite care: A caregiver arrives at your home or you bring your loved one to our day centre.

Step 5: Ongoing Support
We check in regularly. Adjustments are always possible – more hours, different caregiver, change of therapist. You are in control.

"From first call to first session – typically within 48 hours."

We believe in starting with understanding – not assumptions.

For Emotional Wellness (Therapy/Coaching)

Initial Assessment (50–60 minutes)

Your first session is an evaluation. We ask about your current challenges, history, goals, and any previous diagnoses.

We do not require a formal diagnosis to begin therapy. You can start with everyday stress, burnout, anxiety, or simply feeling stuck.

If you have an existing diagnosis (e.g., depression, PTSD, anxiety disorder), we use that information to tailor our approach.

For Medical Aid Claims
If you need a formal diagnosis for medical aid purposes, your therapist will provide one after the assessment.

You will receive a detailed invoice you can submit to your medical aid.

For Respite Care

Care Needs Assessment (virtual or in-person, 30 minutes, free)
We ask about:

Your loved one's age, diagnosis, and specific needs (mobility, feeding, communication, behaviour, medication)

        Any medical equipment or routines

       Triggers, preferences, and calming strategies

Your goals for respite care (e.g., "I need to attend meetings twice a week" or "I need overnight care once a month")

No formal medical diagnosis required for respite care. A parent or guardian's description is sufficient. For complex medical needs (e.g., suctioning, tube feeding), we may request a letter from your doctor to ensure caregiver safety.

"We meet you where you are – no unnecessary paperwork or delays."

Once we understand your needs, we create a structured weekly plan. Plans are flexible and can change as your needs change.

"You choose the rhythm. We provide the consistency."

Starting can feel overwhelming. We have removed every barrier we can think of.

What sets us apart

There are other therapy practices. There are other care agencies. But Esanju Integrative Wellness is different – by design

Founded By Lived Experience

Our founder is not a distant executive. She is a parent of a young adult with cerebral palsy. She has struggled to find care. She has felt exhausted, alone, and guilty. Every service we offer was created because she needed it herself."You are not a case number. You are a fellow traveler."

Caregivers Are Trained, Not Just Sourced

Our respite caregivers complete training in:
Special needs communication Basic emergency response Emotional first aid
Respectful, person-centered care
We do not simply "find a body." We train a partner.
 Integrated Emotional + Practical Support

Most agencies offer therapy OR caregiving. We offer both – and we actively encourage clients to use both. Burnout is not solved by respite alone. You also need emotional tools. We provide the whole circle.

‌Human Response Times

When you email or WhatsApp, you will not get an automated chatbot. You will get a real person – often our founder herself – within hours. We are small enough to care personally, and experienced enough to care well.

No Unnecessary Barriers

1. No formal diagnosis required for most services
2. Sliding scale available – just ask
3. No long waiting lists Virtual therapy available anywhere in South Africa
4. In-person respite in Gauteng with transparent travel fees

Transparent Pricing – No Surprises

Our rate card is public. Our travel fees are stated upfront. Our cancellation policy is clear. What we quote is what you pay. "Trust is built in the small moments – showing up on time, answering honestly, charging fairly. That is Esanju."

What our clients say

" The caregiving skills training changed how I approach my daughter's needs. I used to feel guilty taking breaks. Now I understand: rest is not selfish - It's necessary."

Dorothy Davids

Caregiving Skills Trainning

I was drowning in caregiver burnout. My weekly sessions with Esanju gave me back myself. For the first time in years I feel seen - not just as a Mom, but as a person
